Open show november 3, 2019

I am honoured to be judging at the HVS Open Show this November and have been asked to give a brief intro, so here goes.
I have judged Hungarian Vizslas since 1997, loving the breed, and after 8 years in 2005, inevitably , a Vizsla joined the family, a gentle soul who loved to retrieve and swim, spending almost 12 years with us.
I first awarded CC's in Weimaraners in 2009, and we have shown and worked this breed, for over 30 years. In a brief gap between dogs, I joined an Open Show committee, short term, so I was still involved in the dog world, and after filling various roles, the short term has lasted twenty five years!
There is nothing I enjoy more than to see HPR's at work, whether that be on a grouse moor, shoot, pointing or working test . Some of my happiest & proudest memories are from these days ,when the training and hard work came together
( it almost made you forget the days where things didn't quite go to plan )
Look forward to seeing exhibitors and spectators on the day.
