Sad to hear of Keith's passing. What a great people person - you didn't know you were being studied, but he always had an accurate assessment of characters. He was the quietest handler, even when things were not going perfectly, and you could see the synergy he had with his dogs over the years. A shooting man, who knew all about game, and field craft, and truly enjoyed good dog work. A generous friend to the HVS over the years and many will have benefited from his knowledge and skills mentoring. As a judge, he always had something nice to say about an errant dog or handler, commenting on what it or it's handler had done well, rather than the elimination process. Yes they were both going home, but going home with a positive message. Every year we seem to say goodbye to another character in dogdom! Out of pain now, if there is an afterlife, I hope Keith meets up with all his dogs, and has many days out in the field. Thankyou for your wisdom, and thank you for your kindness on many occasions. Goodbye old friend, so pleased you entered my life. You were a builder in the workplace, and a builder in peoples hearts, condolences to all the family.

I'm deeply saddened to hear the news about this lovely man. My heart goes out to his family and close friends. Having spent many happy times over the years at his lake on fun days, Keith would always come sit with us for a piece of cake and some tea. Telling us funny stories of field trials and about his GSPs and Vizslas from many moons ago. He was always so helpful and kind when it came to spending time with gun dog training. His calm manner with his dogs was a joy to behold.

i had the luck of knowing Keith for many years and he was always there to help and to encourage. I never heard a bad word about any one from him, which is a rarity these days. He even came to watch the pointer and setters run and with full interest wanted to know about all that was happening. A true gentleman and sportsman. He will be very much missed by so many people.

We are so very sad to hear this news. Keith was always kindness itself, he helped me with my young vizsla, giving up his own time every week to help me train her. We loved bumping into him at events round the country, quite often snoozing by the ring at Burghley Horse Trials whilst Margaret shopped. He will be so sorely missed by many people and we'd like to pass on our condolences to Margaret and the family.
